Falling apart

What if life was designed to fall apart, to unravel, to shatter, so that we can be reminded that nothing is guaranteed, nothing is permanent or automatic, everything is changing all of the time. The only constant is change. The dance of life is a perpetual ebb and flow of things coming together and things falling apart. When we become attached to the temporary, the changing aspect of reality will always lead to suffering. Understanding this suffering doesn’t mean that when things fall apart we aren’t affected. Feel it in it’s entirety. And then close your eyes and look into the space behind your closed eyelids, lengthen the pause between the inhale and the exhale and meet the only thing unchanging.
